The Race V3 Professional Racing Underwear Bundle brings together the full Alpinestars Race V3 FIA 8856-2018 and SFI 3.3 underwear set: balaclava (one size), long sleeve top, and bottoms.
All three pieces are built from LENZING FR viscose fibres, which provide flame resistance as an inherent property of the fibre; a treated synthetic loses that protection over washes, this does not. Two-layer construction with flat seams throughout. The fit is relaxed, which suits drivers who find race underwear restrictive. The balaclava has a frontal drinks tube opening and twin-layer construction across the face area.
We supply the bundle in grey only. Top and bottoms are sized separately across S, M, L, XL, and XXL. SKUs are 475-402011 for the balaclava, 475-422011 for the top, and 475-412011 for the bottoms. If your top and bottom sizes differ, each piece is also available individually.
The Race V3 sits below the ZX Evo V3 in the Alpinestars underwear range. Both carry FIA 8856-2018 and SFI 3.3 approval. The ZX Evo V3 uses a more structured diamond jacquard mesh and runs in paired sizing. The Race V3 has more conventional two-layer construction and accommodates a wider range of individual proportions. For sustained airflow in hot cockpits or long endurance races, the ZX Evo V3 is worth the additional cost. For club racing and sprint events, the Race V3 set is the practical starting point. Lead time from stock is typically 2-3 working days.
Can I mix sizes across the items?
Yes. Each part of the bundle is picked in its own size when you order, so a large suit with medium gloves and size 44 boots is no problem. If any combination shows as unavailable, ask us and we will sort it.
Is everything in the bundle homologated?
Each item carries its own approval, shown in the specification above, and it is the individual labels a scrutineer checks, exactly as if you had bought the pieces separately. If your championship has specific requirements, tell us which series you run in and we will confirm the whole bundle passes.
Can I swap an item in the package?
Usually, yes. If you want a different colour, model, or spec for one of the pieces, get in touch before ordering and we will quote the bundle with the swap, so you keep the package saving where we can give it.
Is a bundle the right way to buy my first kit?
